Just how loud can a parrot be?

A 747 Jumbo Jet produces as much as 140 decibels of noise. Peacocks have been registered at 115 db.
Moluccans hold the record as the loudest bird on earth at 135db (average = 120db)"..... San Diego Zoo
105 db is considered damaging to the ear.
ALL parrots scream!  Some louder than others but they all do it.  They scream to scream, they scream to each other, they scream to us.  That is life with a parrot.  Are you ready for that?  Is your family?  Your neighbors?
I want a bird that "needs" me!

Congratulations, most birds will bond with only one person.  Remember though, it may not be you.  If it is YOU, guess what, NO ONE else will do.  That's right, when you decide to work longer hours, take a vacation, meet someone new or start a family they will still need you as much as before.  What will you do then when you don't have that much time?  I can tell you what they will do.  Perhaps they will begin screaming.  Maybe they will start plucking.  They may even self mutilate.  Then what?
Knowledge is power
The strangest circumstances can cause  Angels to become self mutilators or complete terrors to their owners.  Lack of interaction, wrong foods, bad placement, improper cages and many other factors can contribute to a "problem" parrot.

The Mess!

If you own a parrot, you will be spending a considerable amount of your time cleaning up after it. Everything about a parrot is messy. Their waste habits, eating habits, chewing habits, play habits, the molting, the dust,  baths, you name it. It's all messy!
Cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning:
To make matters worse, virtually all of today's modern cleaning and sanitizing products are poisonous to your bird. Vapors from aerosol products can kill a bird in a matter of minutes. Non-aerosol products leave residues that can be absorbed through the bird's feet or tongue, poisoning it more slowly but just as surely. If you are going to own a parrot, get used to scrub brushes and lots of hot water and apple cider vinager in a bucket.
